Youtube Master enhances your user experience on Youtube. With Youtube Master you can block Youtube videos or channels, sort Youtube videos, darken the background while watching a video etc. Youtube Master works on both Chrome and Safari.
Add to ChromeSort on Youtube home page
Youtube Master can sort videos on Youtube's home page. By view count (popularity) or by upload date (oldest or newest). You can go back to the default order by sorting by default. Or just reload the page.
Sort recommendated videos
Youtube Master can also sort videos in recommendations while you are watching some video. By view count or by upload date.
Hide a video
When hovering over a Youtube video, you will see a hide button, so you can hide any video you don't like. Hidden videos are kept hidden even after the page is reloaded.
Hide a channel
You can also hide an entire channel. So all videos in that channel will be hidden from the home page
Darken the background
With Youtube Master you can darken the background while watching a video. So you can focus on what you are watching.
Speed-up video playing
With Youtube Master you can increase your playback speed. By clicking the new speed-up button in the HTML5 video player. You can also use the hotkey 'D'. The new speed will be displayed in the screen.
Slow-down video playing
With Youtube Master you can also decrease your playback speed. By clicking the new slow-down button in the HTML5 video player. You can also use the hotkey 'S'. The new speed will be displayed in the screen.
Take screenshots on Youtube
With Youtube Master you can take a screenshot of the video you are watching. The screenshot will be saved as a PNG file to the default download folder of your system.
Block in-stream video ads
Youtube Master blocks all in-stream video ads automatically. So you can watch the video immediately after you load the page. And you won't get interrupted in the middle of watching.
Hide related videos
While you are watching, Youtube shows related videos as recommendations on the right side of the window. Youtube Master allows you to hide those recommendations if you are not interested.
Hide Youtube comments
With Youtube Master you can hide comments of all Youtube videos. Just click the "Hide comments" menu on top of comments.
Control volume by mouse wheel
With Youtube Master you can control volume by mouse wheel scrolling. While the cursor is over the video, mouse wheel scrolling will trigger volume change. Otherwise mouse wheel scrolling will scroll the page.
Download Youtube videos (Firefox only)
With Youtube Master you can download the video you are watching. Just move the mouse over the download button and you will see download links in different formats. Sometimes you need to reload the page to see those download links. Currently this feature only works on Firefox.
